Duas to stop Masturbation?

Questions:

Are there any duas to help with stopping masturbation

Answer:

Assalamu Alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh

Thank you for your question.

The Messenger of Allah (Allah bless him and give him peace) used to say, “O Allah, I ask You for guidance, piety, dignified restraint, and freedom from need. (Allahumma inni as’aluka’l huda wa’t tuqa wa’l `afafa wa’l ghina)” [Sahih Muslim] (See also: Prophetic Supplication for Guidance, Piety, Restraint, and Freedom from Need Prophetic Example in Our Daily Relations)

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ الْهُدَى وَالتُّقَى وَالْعَفَافَ وَالْغِنَى

The following supplication has been narrated by Qutb al-Din al-Hanafi in his Kitab Ad`iyat al-Hajj wa al-`Umra and is attributed to Hasan al-Basri.

“O Allah, I seek Your forgiveness for every sin in which I gave preference to my base desire over Your obedience and my passion over Your command – thus I contented myself with Your wrath and subjected myself to Your displeasure, though You had forbidden me, presented Your admonition to me, and established the proof of it to me through Your warnings [of punishment in Your revelations]. I seek Your forgiveness, O Allah, and repent to You. (Allahumma inni astaghfiruka li kulli dhambin qaddamtu fihi shahwati `ala ta`atik wa athartu fihi mahabbati `ala amrik fa ardaytu nafsi bi ghadabik wa `arradtuha li sakhatik idh nahaytani wa qaddamta ilayya fihi indharak wa tahhajajta `alayya fihi bi wa`idik wa astaghfiruka Allahumma wa atubu ilayk)”

“O Allah, Your mercy I am hopeful for, so do not leave me to myself for the blink of an eye, and put all my affairs in order, there is no god but You. (Allahumma rahmataka arju fala takilni ila nafsi tarfata `ayanin wa aslih li sha’ni kullihi la ilaha illa anta)” [Abu Dawud]

Say the supplications with heart and sincerity, seeking closeness to the Divine, and seeking to be pulled out of the darkness of sin. Don’t lose heart, take the positive means to stop the sin, and always ask Allah as He loves to be asked.

And Allah alone gives success.

The Hajr-e-Aswad also known as The Black Stone is set in the eastern corner of the Holy Kaaba. The Tawaf is started and ended by facing this sacred black stone. Over the years, throughout history, numerous people which included the Prophets of Allah (Peace be upon them) and the Holy Prophet Mohammad (Peace be upon him), the Sahaba (may Allah be pleased with them) and other pious Muslim personalities have performed Hajj and Umrah around the Holy Kaaba and have also placed their blessed lips on the Holy Stone. Today we are going to present some lesser-known facts about Hajr-e-Aswad.[irp] 1-The Hajr-e-Aswad also known as The Black Stone was brought down from heaven (Jannah) and was presented to Ibrahim (peace be upon him) so that he could place it in the corner of the Kaaba. Does God Love Sinners and Non-Muslims?

The basic theme of the talk was to say how Islam brings calm to our lives and our rebellious hearts, amidst all the other things in this world that are pulling at us. The talk, attended by Muslims and non-Muslims, was well attended and well received, but there was a small group of students from one of the Evangelical Christian groups in the university, who were so keen to ask questions at the end of the talk about sin and God’s punishment. In fact, to me they seemed obsessed with the idea of sin, although this is not an idea held in mainstream Christianity. We need to understand where this obsession with sin comes from in order to answer your question properly. In the Biblical accounts of Creation, we read the story of Adam and Eve and how they sinned and were expelled from the Garden of Eden because of their sin and disobedience. The Bible account ends there, with Adam and Eve out in the cold. According to this idea, the whole of humanity down through the ages inh...
