The stories of Prophets of Islam Allah had sent
down a total of 124,000 Prophets for the guidance of mankind. These prophets
were not sent down at one time, rather were sent down in different time
periods. The very first Prophet being Adam (may Allah be pleased with him) and
the last being Muhammad (PBUH).
The source of guidance for all the Muslims is Quran
(the Holy Book revealed to the last Prophet) and Sunnah of the Prophet (PBUH).
Evidence from both sources reveals the name of few Prophets.
Also, both sources have revealed interesting
stories of some of the Prophets. Here we will share some incidents and
authentic story Habil and Qabil.
As we know Adam and Hawwa (Eve) (may Allah be
pleased with both) were leading a happy life in Heavens which was not tolerable
for the devil. Adam and Hawwa (Eve) (may Allah be pleased with both) were
prohibited to eat a fruit from one of the special tree. How Adam A.S. and Hawwa
A.S. (Eve) came to this World? Read in detail.
Habil and Qabil were the sons of Adam (may Allah be
pleased with him). One of the two successors was to inherit their father’s
position. Adam was of the view that Habil deserves to take over after him.
Qabil felt that it was not the right decision as he was the elder son and he
shall take over after his father.
He felt jealous of Habil and disliked his father’s
decision. Adam (may Allah be pleased with him) was concerned about the matter
and came up with the idea. He told his sons that he has left the matter to
Allah Almighty. Now both shall come up with a present. They shall present
something to Allah Almighty.
Whatever the gift they select for Allah shall be
placed at a specified hill’s top. Whosesoever gift is accepted by Allah shall
be the heir. Both of them struggled to present a gift to Allah. As Habil had
made more effort to present the gift, Allah selected his gift.
This made Qabil so angry and furious that he killed
his own brother. He did realize his mistake later and wanted to repent, but it
was too late! It is said that it was the first murder in the world and in the
history of mankind.
Omar Mahmood writes in his book “Muhammad, an
Evolution of God” that Hazrat Adam died was buried near Mount Abu Qubais in
Makkah. Later on, Hazrat Noah A.S. buried him in Jerusalem after the flood.
Although there is no authentic source to validate
this information, it is said that the grave of Hazrat Hawwa is in Jeddah. It is
also called the tomb of Eve. Many people go and visit the graveyard where
Hazrat Hawwa is reportedly buried.
