There is no other perfect role model for all Muslims, then the Holy Prophet Mohammad (Peace Be Upon Him). The way that He led his life and conducted his business is how all Muslims should practice their lives. Muslims since ages have been trying their best to follow in the footsteps of the Holy Prophet (Peace be Upon Him). There are several ordinary people from this age who we can be taken as examples to motivate ourselves that if another ordinary person can do it, then you can also do it. One such story has emerged from the Kingdom where an Afghani Expatriate working in the Kingdom has come across as an example for all Muslims and has become a symbol of his devotion.
An
Afghan Expatriate, Haji Muhammad has been working in the Kingdom as a Plumber.
Haji Muhammad came in the Kingdom at the age of 19 in search of work. Ever since he first visited the Prophet’s
Mosque in the Holy city Madinah almost 37 years ago, he has never ever missed
even a single prayer inside the Prophet’s Mosque. Haji Muhammad’s family
consists of 2 wives and 12 children in the Kingdom and in these 37 years he has
only visited his home country of Afghanistan only once.
Haji
Muhammad, the pious devotee who has not missed even one single prayer at the
Prophet’s Mosque can be seen occupying his regular spot behind the Imam of the
Mosque. Those pilgrims or Muslims who make their way to Madinah annually will
not miss out on the familiar face which can be seen donning a black turban.
The
Saudi Gazette also reported on the issue. The Saudi Gazette stated that when
Haji Muhammad started work in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, he informed his
sponsor that he did not want to miss any single prayer in the Prophet’s Mosque.
Muhammad Haji spoke to the media and stated that he has always made sure that
he performs all his prayers in the Prophet’s Mosque, even since he was a young
man of 19. He added that he absolutely loves picking up the copies of the Holy
Quran from all the visitors to the Prophet’s Mosque and keeping them back to
their cabinets.
He
also stated that he has become friends with numerous worshippers who frequent
the mosques over the years and he has also left a mark on several of the
worshippers through his undivided devotion.
Haji
Muhammad has truly shown true devotion to prayer to Allah, to obedience towards
Allah and to the Prophet’s Mosque. It is this level of devotion and dedication,
which allows others to hold as an example and to strive towards attaining
motivation and dedication towards Allah and prayers.
In
these modern times, often we forego prayers while we are involved in doing
other stuff. Even when we are traveling there are several places available for
prayer, however, we decide to engage ourselves in other activities other than
prayer.
