7 Unknown Facts About Hajr Al Aswad Every Muslim Must Know.

The Hajr-e-Aswad also known as The Black Stone is set in the eastern corner of the Holy Kaaba. The Tawaf is started and ended by facing this sacred black stone. Over the years, throughout history, numerous people which included the Prophets of Allah (Peace be upon them) and the Holy Prophet Mohammad (Peace be upon him), the Sahaba (may Allah be pleased with them) and other pious Muslim personalities have performed Hajj and Umrah around the Holy Kaaba and have also placed their blessed lips on the Holy Stone. Today we are going to present some lesser-known facts about Hajr-e-Aswad.[irp]

1-The Hajr-e-Aswad also known as The Black Stone was brought down from heaven (Jannah) and was presented to Ibrahim (peace be upon him) so that he could place it in the corner of the Kaaba. Sunan an-Nasa'i 2935
2-The Hajr-e-Aswad was reportedly stolen from the Holy Kaaba during 930 CE by the Qarmatian warriors. These warriors sacked Makkah while desecrating the Well of ZamZam with corpses of Muslims and carried The Black Stone back to their base in Ihsaa, in the medieval region of Bahrain. The Black Stone was returned around 952 CE according to Historian Al Juwayni and restored to its original location.

3-The Hajr-e-Aswad was initially a complete single stone however due to various incidents which occurred throughout history, the Stone is now in eight pieces of different sizes which have been affixed to a large stone which is also encased in a silver frame. The original silver frame was built by Abdullah bin Zubair (may Allah be pleased with him) and was later replaced by the latter Khalifas as and when the need arose.

4-Six other pieces of the Hajr-e-Aswad are claimed to be in Istanbul, Turkey. One is displayed in the Mihrab of the Blue Mosque, one is located at the entrance of the tomb of Sulaiman and 4 are in the SokulluSehit Mehmet PasaCamii mosque.

5- The Messenger of Allah said: “The Black Stone descended from the Paradise, and it was Whiter than milk, then it was blackened by the sins of the children of Adam.” – Jami` at-Tirmidhi 877

6-The Messenger of Allah said about the (Black) Stone: “By Allah! Allah will raise it on the Day of Resurrection with two eyes by which it sees and a tongue that it speaks with, testifying to whoever touched it in truth.” – Jami` at-Tirmidhi 961
7-Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) stated while leaning against the Kaaba that the Hajr-e-Aswad and Maqam-e-Ibrahim are two of the jewels out of the jewels of Paradise. If Allah had not concealed the radiance of these jewels, they would illuminate everything that lay between the East and West. (Tirmidhi)

Allah said in Surah al-Hijr, Ayah 09: Indeed, it is We who sent down the Quran and indeed, We will be its Guardian. And undoubtedly, the present-day Quran is same as the Quran which was revealed to Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). In this post, we take a look at some of the oldest manuscripts of the Quran, including ones that date back to the days of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and the Rightly-Guided Caliphs. 10 Oldest Manuscripts of The Quran 1. Teen who was forced into marriage sentenced to death for killing husband as he raped her

A 19-year-old Sudanese woman who was forced to marry against her will has been sentenced to death for fatally stabbing her husband while he raped her. The case of Noura Hussein, who has said that she was held down by her husband’s relatives as he raped her, has sparked a nationwide discussion in a country where forced marriages are widespread — children can married off by their families at age 10 — and marital rape is legal. On Thursday, a judge in Omdurman sentenced Hussein to death after her husband’s family refused options to pardon her or accept financial compensation and demanded her execution instead. Hussein, who was forcibly married off by her father at the age of 15, had escaped her husband’s clutches for three years by running away from home and living with an aunt. But after she was deceived into returning home, her father turned her over to her husband’s family who then aided in her rape after she refused to consummate the marriage. HORRIFIC!!! “Forced to marr...

I Felt As 60 Pound Weight Had Been Lifted Off My Shoulders

By Aisha Kacie Salaam! My name is Aisha and I am a Muslim revert. I reverted in 2015, but I had been researching Islam for about 2 years before reverting. Growing up I was put under the label Christian, though it was never practiced in my home. I met my best friend in college 6-7 years ago and she was Muslim. I later met a few other Muslims but still never thought much about Islam. Having moved to a big city from a small town, I actually did not know what Islam was! So I guess because of that, I came into it without any bias. I began having questions about fasting, and modest dress, etc and that began my 2 year journey into researching Islam. I researched (literally) everyday. Then one day I decided to listen to one of the 5 daily prayers out of curiosity. As soon as the Arabic played I felt as though a 60 pound weight had been lifted off my shoulders. I was so overwhelmed as though I had just found what was written for me my entire life without even knowing it! ...
