Israeli drone drops tear gas on Gaza protesters

Gaza: Israeli border police dropped tear gas from a drone onto Palestinian protesters in Gaza on Friday, a police spokesman told AFP, acknowledging operational deployment of new technology. An AFP correspondent saw a drone release around 10 gas canisters as protesters on the border with Israel cursed the small craft. A number of people were injured by the containers, which fell from a height of between 10 and 20 metres (30-60 feet), the correspondent said. Use of unmanned aerial vehicles to launch gas is a recent innovation, police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld said. “It was used a few weeks ago around the Gaza Strip area and it is also being used today, in order to prevent protesters getting to the Gaza crossing or Gaza border,” he said. “It’s a mini-drone which has the capability of flying over certain zones and certain areas and then letting go of tear gas in areas that we want to prevent protesters from reaching.” Video of the tactic in use was shown in a r...

This Is why islam Prohibited Muslim Men to wear Pure Silk and Gold

Source : atimes The elegance and beauty of men and women are valued in Islam. Yet, it has been reported that silk and gold are allowed to be worn by women only and not men. Several evidence from the hadith depict that the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) strictly prohibited men from wearing silk garments and qualified men who do it as “the dress of man who has no character” (Al-Bukhari), while for a person who wore a gold ring he regarded the ring as “a piece of burning coal” in his finger (reported by Muslim). Besides, men are not allowed to wear anything made of gold on their body, including teeth, watch or any ornament or object. However, men are allowed to wear silver. It was reported by Al-Bukhari that the Ibn ‘Umar said that the Prophet of Allah (p.b.u.h) wore a silver ring, followed by Abu Bakr, ‘Umar, ‘Uthman until it fell from the latter’s finger into the well of Arees. On the other hand, in the Sahih of Al-Bukhari, the messenger of Allah (p.b....

Is smoking cigarettes Haraam or No ?

Praise be to Allah and peace and blessings be on His Prophet SAWS. Smoking is one of the things which has caused a lot of problems and harm these days and it has spread like wild fire. Before we discuss this topic in detail, we should know that Allaah the Almighty has divided things in the world into two types, good or permissible (al-tayyibaat, al-halaal) and evil or prohibited (al-khabaa’ith, al-haraam), and there is no third type. Allah says (interpretation of the meaning) in surat al-A’raaf (7:157): “And He makes good things halaal for them and bad things haraam.” Considering this fact, smoking can either be permissible and good or prohibited and evil. Thus, we present some of its characteristics and let the person asking the question see himself in which type lies smoking. There is no disagreement among the physicians and sane people that smoking is harmful for health. It is one of the major causes of lung cancer and other diseases. It is also one of the m...

How to deal with love for the opposite sex before Marriage

Questions: Love and attraction towards the opposite sex before marriage is something that is not under one’s control, but our Lord, may He be glorified, has explained how to deal with it in the verse in which He says (interpretation of the meaning): “There is no blame upon you for that to which you [indirectly] allude concerning a proposal to women or for what you conceal within yourselves. Allah knows that you will have them in mind. But do not promise them secretly except for saying a proper saying. And do not determine to undertake a marriage contract until the decreed period reaches its end. And know that Allah knows what is within yourselves, so beware of Him. And know that Allah is Forgiving and Forbearing” [al-Baqarah 2:235]. So the way to deal with it is clear: either to propose or to keep it to oneself until Allah decides concerning this matter. Is this understanding of the verse here correct or not? Answer: Praise be to Allah Firstly: For a man ...

The more Muslims and Jews interact with each other, the more they become aware of their faiths’ similarities

NEW YORK – The more Muslims and Jews interact with each other, the more they become aware of their faiths’ similarities, a study conducted by the Foundation of Ethnic Understanding (FFEU) in New York found. “Judaism and Islam are more similar to each other than they are different,” 65% of the surveyed Muslims and 54% of the surveyed Jews responded to FFEU’s poll. Jewish Ledger reported on Wednesday. The FFEU discovered that Jews who frequently deal with Muslims believe “Islam is more inclusive and modern,” than those Jews who rarely interact with Muslims. The American NGO, FFEU, which was founded in 1989, runs synagogue and mosque “twinning” programs and other interfaith activities for American Muslims and Jews. On behalf of FFEU, the Penn Schoen Berland (PSB) research and strategic consulting firm conducted a national online survey last January in the US on 1,000 participants with 50% Muslims and 50% Jews. That PSB study, sponsored by Ory Capital Partners and ...
